Things I want My Daughters to Know - By: A. Fal, 17 Jun 2008
I loved this book so much I could not put it down. I have to admit this is the first time I have ever read one of Ms Noble's books & I was well & truly hooked in the first chapter. So emotional you cannot bear to put it down with lots of compassion, & a few tears. The book explores the feelings between sisters & between a mother & her 4 daughters, very true to life, most certainly how sisters respond to each others thoughts, but also an insight on how they alll pull together & gain strength from one another. A great book to read & pass onto your sister!
Another great book from this author - By: Nicola, 22 Mar 2008
Moving & sad, yet made me smile. Elizabeth Noble captures the relationship between mothers & daughters, & stepfamilies, perfectly, & once again delivers a great story which is light reading, but still tackles emotional subjects. Great stuff!
A real page turner! - By: Sweetie Pie, 11 Feb 2008
This book is brilliant - both funny & tragic..and it reallly hits home. With a cast of characters you want to care for, the book comes alive in your hands & you are gripped until the last page, albeit with a box of tissues next to you. Once again, Elizabeth Noble has proved herself to be a writer of extraordinary compassion, depth & perception.
A mother's view - By: Yummy Mummy, 10 Feb 2008
Elizabeth Noble writes with her usual insightful humour. You would think she'd been through this experience herself. Sometimes difficult to read but other times very funny. A great read. Let's hope that we alll won't wait until its too late to tell our daughters things we want them to know.
