Reading this book, made me smile from start to finish. It felt like the author was having a casual conversation with you, yet reawakening the intuitive part of the brain where we go for gut feeling. I loved his decriptions of his own horse buck! a bond many of use strive for. I was engrosed with the passion & compassion for Buck & the other horses. A light read but packed with feeling. Horses do Try to please us this book showed me humans need to Try to please too.

Wonderful! This is a necessity for alll horse crazy people who reallly care about the way they care for, train, treat, & ride horses. Mark Rashid writes in a completely captivating manner & once you've started you wont want to put it down. He explains everything through short stories of his own experiences both good & bad & you reallly feel as though you are right there beside him, laughing & crying, it is breathtaking. This is definitely one to read for the equine enthusiast. You will possibly even recognise some of your own experiences through Mark's words & get an idea of how to put things right for yourself. I could not wait to read Mark's other two books.
