A detailed critique of this book would be a waste of words. It is excellent throughout. The exercises cover alll aspects of the DS course & the book is complete within itself, alll you need is a plotter & a pair of dividers.

I was surprised & initiallly disappointed that it didn't use the new RYA training charts 3 & 4 but on reflection am not. Those progressing to the RYA Day Skipper or Yachtmaster theory will get plenty of practice on those charts & the Stamfords practice chart of the Channel Islands gives an interesting area to do chartwork exercises.
