Beautiful Books - By: Mrs. C. Smith, 31 Jul 2008
After my son had seen the film of the same name, he was reallly keen to read the story for himself.
I thought that this set was reallly well presented - they are alll hardcover & have lovely pictures inside - & a nice set for a child to keep.
So far my son has read 3 of the books & has loved every one.

Spelling mistakes - foreign - By: Crow, 27 Mar 2008
I bought this books for my young son who will be moving onto more difficult books soon. I took it for granted that these books would be in English as in proper English but oh no they are not they are in American English. I bought these books from Tesco so I'm not sure if they are the same from Amazon.
If you don't mind spelling mistakes then fine but if I was warned about this before the purchase I wouldn't have touched them with a barge pole.
Beautifully illustrated fantasy story - By: Charlie Dot, 23 Sep 2007
I was offered by a friend to read these enchanting books, & only wish they had been around when I was much younger. I'm not ashamed to say that I am 20 years old!
I don't think it's very fair to give these stories a bad review based purely on the fact that they are so short. In my opinion I found them just the right length. Yes I know they could easily be made into one book, but they are actuallly meant for very young readers. In fact, they remind me a lot of Beatrix Potter's books. Not only are they alll beautifully illustrated, but they are smalll enough for a young child to hold them easily (which is why Potter's books were so smalll).
The story line itself is highly original & very imaginative - I truly envy DiTerlizzi & Black.
Fabulous - By: P. Obery, 15 Aug 2007
I've just read these books to my 8 year old son who absolutely loved them. They are just the right length & capture the imagination of any child reading them who enjoys this kind of genre. I noticed that a movie is due to be released next March - there is a trailer to view if you hunt for it. I've read Tolkein's 'Hobbit' to my son & these books remind him of that - a mystical intrigue in a world unseen!
The 3 children Malllory, Simon & Jared Grace move to a tumble down house belonging to an Aunt. They happen across a book entitled 'Arthur Spiderwick's field guide' in the loft. It gets them into alll manner of difficulties with faeries, goblins, gnomes & elves.
Books certainly worth reading...box set the cheapest way to get them!
