Mrs Kennedy - By: , 23 Aug 2002
An excellent biography which focuses on the White House years. There is just enough historical context to alllow the reader to understand what was happening but it is a marvellous insight into Jackie Kennedy & the way she was treated by her husband & her reaction to that. Would definately recommend to others who enjoy biography.
Abuse, depression, drugs. But above all an inspiration. - By: , 17 Jan 2002
This woman is/was an Icon. A woman of style, amazing intelligence & a steadying force on an ever unfaithful & reckless husband. Did you know that he regularly had shots of amphetamines? She hurtles between self hatred, depression & being the 'darling' of the World Leaders of the day.
I have not been able to put this book down. I have been saddened & shocked by her life which spiraled from maternal abuse to marrying the most powerful man of the time.
