Covey's Four Quadrant! - By: Ms. Ke Jewitt, 10 Jan 2008
This is must-read & a book that you will want to keep on your bookshelf & re-read time & time again. Its crammed full of interesting stories, reflection & guidance on life. Seven habits of highly effective people teaches so much & provides a brilliant lesson on how to achieve what you want out of life & how to get the most out of life. I found it life-changing & it had a big impact on me. I particularly liked advice on time management & how to plan your time daily. He provides some excellent templates to copy. One example - Covey talks of a four quadrant to-do list. He talks of how we spend so much of our time doing things because they are due tomorrow but not important. thus the important stuff gets left behind. He advises to plot your to-do list in a four quadrant table - (1) important & due soon, (2) important & due later (3) unimportant & due soon (4) unimportant & due later.
Plot everything you have to do in this order & ensure that you carry out tasks in numerical order. This means you'll always do what is important to you first!
Covey's advice can apply to everyone.
Read this book, it will change your life forever!
One of the best christmas gifts to any teenager - By: Tell, 16 Dec 2007
It might very well save them a lot of pain, by acting as a lighthouse
The granddaddy of them all - By: Trainer Dude, 06 Nov 2007
While there are other fantastic books on leadership, this has to be the one that had the biggest impact on my life.
The concepts that Covey talks about are life skills, not just business skills.
Starting with the End in Mind, First Things First, etc. have become an integral part of my daily life & while much of it is common sense, it is described very elegantly in the book. Highly recommended!

Masterpiece amongst self help. - By: Will Joseph, 31 Oct 2007
The modern trend for self help seems to be books on cognitive behavioural therapy, a subject which is very dear to my own heart having edited one or two of these, but personal life coaching should never be under-estimated. And if it is life coaching you are after, then there can be no better starting point than Covey's masterpiece - 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Previous reviewers have done an excellent job of breaking the book down so no need to do that again. What I hope to achieve is my aim of getting as many as possible familiar with the core concepts within, & with the book so cheap through Amazon these days it could be sitting on everyone's shelf. With a basic grasp of what Covey teaches, you reallly are heading towards a less stressful, less frustrating, more productive life.
ONE OF THE BEST - By: JAM11E, 27 Jun 2007
When I first borrowed the book from my companys learning library I had an ephiphany... I was compelled to study over & over what he wrote, not because it was some new mindblowing concept, but it peiced together my thoughts & experiences & principles I had collected in my 22 years of my life in a way that was easy to understand.
Not that I agree with everything & in this book we are given practical examples, but from what I heard from a friend who did business with Covey, even he fails sometimes to apply what he teaches. There is no perfect person that can be the perfect embodiment of these principles & if those around you have very different principles or none, you may suffer as well as gain from applying them.
I rate this book along with Paradise 21st Century Fox & One Minute Manager & Don't Shoot The Dog as one of the most important books one can take the time to read. Put it at the top of the pile!
I would also reccomend checking out his videos on youtube, excellent. Thank you Mr Covey!
