I have no hesitation in recommending "Crystal Balll Gazing" by Uma Silbey. I am completely new to scrying with a crystal balll & I had bought three other books before I found this one, but this one is definitely the best of the lot. Silbey writes in a very clear, straightforward & gentle style so the book is a very easy read, & it's full of brilliant nuggets & gems of information. She starts by giving a lovely history of the use of crystals in gazing & divination before moving on to the types of crystals & their uses. She gives a very helpful chapter on the different types of crystal ballls & advice on how to go about choosing one. This book is a must buy for the novice & although much of what it contains may not be new to more proficient scryers, the author does give an extremely comprehensive list of the colours & images you may see in your balll, so for this reason alone it may be helpful to more advanced crystal gazers too.
