You only need to read one of jackie collins` books - By: Leeds lass, 15 Apr 2008
because they`re alll the same. There is the most beautiful woman on earth, the best looking bloke ever planted, loads of money, mansions, horses, big cars, land, private jets - oh you name it - they`ve got it ( or daddy has ) The woman is always very independant, has the best job in town - if not in the whole country - or even the whole world - & she reallly makes the guy work to get her. When he eventuallly does get her - & he always does - they have the best sex ever - & you spend the next three days wondering if you`ve been sleeping next to the sweeping brush for the last twenty odd years...
That`s about it reallly.
I give it two stars because it leaves you thinking - ( mainly about the brush thing.....)
Total trash but I loved it! - By: Bezerus Bezby, 29 Apr 2007
This is my first experience of a Jackie Collins book. For years I have avoided them as I studied english lit & was always told that it was no good for the brain! Well I decded to give it a go & I loved it! The main character Lucky is strong, independent & a little bit cruel but likable.
The writing style is great- like watching a brilliant soap. This is a real page turner. I will be making some more Jackie Collins purchases very soon!
A Brilliant Sequal to the equally brilliant Chances. - By: Melianuk (rah-bird@harris-green.fslife.co.uk), 17 Oct 2001
In this the second part of the Santangelo saga, we see Lucky take over the family business while Father Gino goes into tax-exile. You experience everything with lucky from the joy & excitment building of her first hotel to the birth of her son, the shock killing of her brother Dario and
Gino's heart attack in response & the subsequent revenge that she reaps.
Lucky Santangelo is the ultimate girl power figure head, She is bold as brass & knows what she wants, when she wants & how to get it! That counts for everything....!
The best part of course is that there are (So Far) another 3 parts to this saga (Chances, Lucky, Lady Boss, Vendetta: Lucky's Revenge & Dangerous Kiss)which means that you can reallly get to know the characters & grow with them during there struggle for what they believe & in Lucky's case her struggle for the right to work in the industry she loves - Hotels!
Altogether a brilliantly put together story of a father & daughters love/hate relationship & the good & bad times it brings!
I would recomend these novels every time!
