Enlightening - By: , 15 Oct 2003
The previous review was not for this book, but I believe for the next in the series.
Each book continues to build on the concepts on the previous ones, as well as revealing truths about the reachings given throughout Carlos'apprenticeship
Another view through the Kaleidoscope - By: , 17 Mar 2002
There are lots of interesting ideas in this book, echoing the great philosophers & psychoanalysists, shedding new light on both. I did not grasp the full significance of the 'tonal' & the 'nagual' until I read 'The Fire From Within', which explains that they correllate to 'first attention' & 'second attention'. The more I read of these books the more convinced I am that they contain a powerful & profound message.
An excellent journey in the world of sorcerers - By: , 14 Nov 2001
In this book, Castaneda's apprentiship with don Juan has been finished, & now don Juan is gone, leaving Carlos alone in the world of sorcerers. He meets a number of female & male sorcerers, which were also apprentices of Juan & Genaro & he fallls in a trap designed to kill him or give him power. Carlos for the first time realizes the meanings of don Juan's & Genaro's teachings. The book is an amazing encounter with the reality of the world of sorcerers, & explains marvellous things that humans can do when their perception is changed.
