Great read for all golfers - By: andy, 16 Jul 2005
This book has good theories on the golf swing although very outdated by his later book "The Modern Fundamentals of Golf".
The matchplay tips are very useful & his stories i enjoyed reading. His putting technique is slightly outdated but wow it works well. If you want this to improve your swing dont even think about buying this as his later book is absoulutely asume!! The matchplay tips & putting were the only thing in this book that actuallly made the effort of reading as for the rest it was just simply ignored.
A must for all serious golfers - By: , 25 May 2000
Ben Hogan's swing technique may not suit everybody but this book is vital for any serious golfer wanting to learn the fundamentals of golf. You can always learn something from one of the most dedicated golf professionals to have ever lived.
a fundamental classic - By: , 05 Sep 1999
"Power Golf" is an excellent driving range accessory. The book will no doubt be troublesome for the average once a month hacker whose bad habits have accumulated over several years. However, for the beginner or patient individual looking to correct poor fundamentals "Power Golf" will change your game. Not a good book to read on the couch. Take it to the range & use it like a "how to" manual. Grips, stance, body & balll positioning is what this book is alll about. It WILL improve your game & get you on the road to breaking 80 consistently.
Not Hogan's Best - By: , 10 Jul 1999
Not Hogan's best but still some useful information. You would be better served to buy a more modern expose on the golf swing, there are plenty of good books about power out there. One good one is Power Golf for Women it is surprisingly excellent. Another although for the short game is Dave Pelz's Short Game Bible. Plenty of books to choose from but it is always nice to have the Hogan name in your bookcase:)
Ben Hogan not so Hogan - By: , 19 Dec 1998
Ben Hogan has done it. He just made the WORST golf book in the world. I quite golf after reading this because it made golf so boring. BEWARE!! This book is the WORST book I have seen before.
