This book was written by someone who reallly built a business from the ground up. Mr. Hawken gives some great advice & makes it seem like anyone can succeed in business if they treat people right. This book was one of the first business books I read eight years ago while planning my business & I still consider it one of the best.

I recommend this book to everyone, but have ceased lending my copy out-two have disappeared. Today, my business is an enormous success-indeed, a somewhat famous one-and no one deserves more credit than Mr. Hawken, for the advice & inspiration of this lucid & engaging book.

Motivated me to start my own business! - By: , 20 Oct 1998 I read Growing a Business a couple of years ago while I was in college at The University of Michigan. This top-notch book gave me the drive that I needed to start my own business & leave college to work for myself FOREVER. Since reading this book, I learned that my father was friends with Paul & was given the opportunity to meet him at Balll State University. When I first read the book I thought, "how could anyone have such determination & drive to start a company," after meeting him I realized that Paul Hawkin truely is a man who made his life what he wanted it to be...purely successful.
This book WILL help you to be successful in the business world. I'm a living example of the power of this book & would STRONGLY suggest that anyone interested in business read it.
