fantastic - By: Ms. J. A. Cassidy, 02 Dec 2008
i can't rave about this book enough. Great ideas. Have been looking for ways to entertain my 18mth old whilst feeding my newborn. Simple, easy, fun ideas.
Excellent - just a five minute flick for inspiration - By: thegoodbook, 04 Nov 2008
I come back to this book again & again. The people who criticise it are, as they admit, already doing these things with their toddlers. Though I doubt it... there are so many good activities. The fact is, most of us are not doing these things - other things & the older children get more attention.

The beauty of the book is that you can quickly look through & something will leap out at you. Or maybe you decide that you'll do an activity, but tailor it to your family in certain ways...

I have an older child & this book reminds me to let the toddler be a toddler - not an issue if this is your first, but a toddler's needs can get squeezed out, & this is the remedy.

Highly recommended.
Great reference book for things to do with toddlers - By: Plumbline, 07 Feb 2008
Although this book might hold lots of things 'you could have thought of yourself', you don't always have the time or energy to get that grey matter working again when you have one or more little ones. This is therefore a great book you can just pick up & find an idea.If you need anything to 'play the game' you will more than not already have it in your home. Ideas incorporate rainy play indoors as well as ideas outdoors & includes creative stuff as well as physical play. Also, it has some great recipes for doughs etc.
Some Really Great Ideas - By: flutterbybaby, 29 Nov 2007
I've reallly enjoyed this book. Granted, a lot of the ideas are reallly simple & you could probably have come up with them yourself, but actuallly I think that's what makes it so good, a lot of the projects can be made from things you already have in the house & are uncomplicated. I can dip in when I need a quick idea for something to do on a rainy day.

I have found though that because the author is American it does mention brands & supplies that I don't know, which can be frustrating. And, I would have liked some more pictures (some projects do have pictures, but not many & not very detailed) just to help me a long on some of the projects, but in general it's good value, & a lot of fun.

I would recommend it to mum's who are in need of some inspiration. In fact, I've enjoyed it so much I'm going to buy one for my friend.

A useful reference book - By: S. Lancashire, 10 Aug 2007
Unlike some of the other reviewers, I wasn't born with an innate ability to entertain toddlers (even tho I have a Fine Art Degree!)So I found this book very useful. Its true that alll 365 activities aren't exactly mind blowing but there are some real gems & the others can be easily adapted to suit you & your child. My daughter is very active & easily bored & frustrated & I found this book to be a great springboard, using Trish Kuffner's ideas as inspiration to create our own special type of fun. I enjoyed the Americanism of the book as, for example, it lists & explains some holidays we don't have in the UK. For anyone lost in toddler tantrums & frustrations, if you only take one piece of advice from this book, let it be this... (try to)"relish the toddler years, because like the fingerprints on the walll, they will be gone before you know it."
