A Look at the Production of a Star Trek series. - By: , 11 Mar 2001
This book is a detailed look at the creative process behind the creation of the myriad of lifeforms & costumes seen in the Star Trek universe. Primaraly concerned with make-up, this book suffers a bit as it is a little too detailed with its look at the make up process (do we reallly want to know the make up benefits of using spirit gum or medical glue?). If you want an interesting look at how an alien on Star Trek is put together from start to finish, then this book is for you. If you are more interested in the 'Artifacts' mentioned in the title, then you will be disapointed to find few prop sketches & set designs. A good book, but a few less aliens & a few more artifacts would be better.
