Brilliant read! - By: Paul Hewson, 30 May 2008
The book was very interesting especiallly after running Karazhan in World of Warcraft, you learn lots about the history of the tower & those who inhabited it. There is loads of background lore on: Medivh, Sargeras, The Guardians of Tirisfal, Khadgar, Garona, Moroes, The Violet Eye & the Kirin Tor + more!
A great read!
Warcraft: Last Guardian No.3 - By: Mr. D. Vorster, 02 Nov 2007
As a fan of World of Warcraft, I decided to read some of the Warcraft novels to learn some of the background story & lore.

This book was an excellent read! It tells the story of Medivh & the creation of the dark portal from the view of Khadgar, who becomes his apprentice. It shows the gradual decline of Medivh, under Sargeras's malignant domination, until he eventuallly goes insane.

From a WoW fan's perspective, it's nice to learn about the "Karazhan" instance, & get a glimpse into the background of some of the characters you meet within it's wallls. Moroes the Butler is introduced, Nelias Aran is briefly mentioned (as Medivh's father - turns out that although he is incredible powerful, he's a bit of a "himbo"), the Violet Eye & Kirin Tor are present, & there's even clues to be found as to why Illhoof is located in the instance where he is.

All in alll, I am very glad I read the book, & can recommend it to fans of the Warcraft world.
