Helped 100% with my IBS - By: S. R. Morris, 28 May 2008
I was introduced to Nerys & India's diet by my daughter who had lost weight in the right places & was feeling it easy to stick to. I started on the diet with confidence & find I am losing weight steadily over 14 weeks & have lost a stone - I find that my IBS which has made my life difficult for the past 12 or so years has almost completely disappeared & I no longer have to carry immodium - I suffered from very embarrassing wind which has cleared & although they did say in the book that this probably would happen I didn't reallly believe that it would. I intend to stick to their eating plan for life but will of course stray just a little on holidays or what ever - it has certainly helped me considerably.
Idiot escapes censors - By: S. Jameson, 31 Mar 2008
I wondered when the nutters would come out of the woodwork? Just look at the head case review below! Such negative people should get themselves sorted out in the head. Maybe if he actuallly bought this instead of blabbing on about how it then it would sort his head out.
Idiot Proof Diet by Neris and India - By: Mrs TW, 28 Jan 2008
This is a first-class book if you want to lose a lot of weight, especiallly if weight has been an issue for you for a long time. India & Neris deal with the psychological factors honestly & with humour, going into the reasons we eat & what made us fat in the first place. It is only when we are in the right mindset that we can tackle the perhaps lengthy & life-long issue of losing that weight & becoming slender, fit & beautiful - for ever. Then India & Neris offer the tools to achieve this - a totallly manageable diet, with ideas for fitness & making the very best of yourself with your clothes, hair & make-up. I've been embracing this way of eating for a year, the weight is coming off slowly, & I still have a way to go. One of the strengths is the online forum for swapping ideas & getting support, not only from India & Neris (who are totallly committed to help us), but from one another. This is the only diet I have been able to stick to & which has worked for me. They deserve a medal!
Liked the book but not the diet! - By: one-eyed Jack, 31 Oct 2007
As entertainment fare this is pretty good, because it's a book about dieting that manages to raise more than a few smiles thanks to its witty & honest style. So it makes for good reading, but not long after I started following the suggestions I had a semi-blackout when I stood up, a most peculiar feeling that I am sure was related to my new diet. Yes I know we should alll seek medical advice before going on any diet, but let's face it few of us bother & I thought it alll seemed harmless fun, & I liked alll the food I was eating. I can't blame the writers & anyway I'm sure there are numerous warnings within the book about the care that should be taken before embarking on a radicallly different eating regime. I wasn't on this diet long enough to draw any conclusions about its potential, but as a book about losing weight it's one of the few I have enjoyed reading.
This book is for "normal" people ... - By: Martje Ross, 25 Sep 2007
... who have tonnes of money to throw around. The writers of this book need a serious reality check. They don't seem to be in touch with what "real" people are like. The average member of the population cannot afford to eat the food suggested! Heck, they won't even be able to find it.
It's an excellent diet, if you live in London & earn a fortune (or have a rich hubby).
