Another evening of frustration trying to make one of the recipes in this book work as it's supposed to. My little boy's 6 & he likes to make cakes for the teachers at the end of term - he chooses somthing from this book & I then have to try to save the cakes or cookies when they won't set / cook / look like they should. Absolute disaster - I shalll be trying to lose it before the end of next term.

My 7 year old brought this book home from the school library & it has proved so good I have been unable to part with it (she has not been able to swap the book for another for several weeks!). From the moment I flicked through the pages my mouth started watering at each new recipe I saw. I agree with the other reviews that instructions are very easy to follow & the recipes have alll turned out well so far. I must have it!!

I saw this book at nursery & loved it so much I bought one myself! Full of yummy recipes which you can make & interact with your child to introduce them to home cooking! Beautifully illustrated & easy to follow instructions. Highly recommended book.

This is the best childrens cook book i have used. The recipes are sensible,no silly faces on baked potatoes, delicious & of alll the ones we have cooked (and it is alot)they have without exception worked,there is nothing more off putting for a child for their hard work to end up tasting rubbish. The instructions are clear & unfussy, i credit this book with teaching my child the basics of baking. Initallly at age 6 she required close supervision but now at nearly 8 she is able to master most recipies single handed. An excellent book & a must for alll mums who want to teach their childern to cook. Please can we have one on washing up too.
