I agree with the first review. The information in the book is presented in relatively simple English & is easily accessible. Besides alll the advantages of the book that are mentioned in the first review, the book is made of good quality paper & the pages are in full colour. I personallly feel this is a must-have book.

This book provides practical advice on the most effective nutrients to prevent or allleviate ailments, their best food sources & the daily nutritional needs. It also explains how vitamins & minerals work in the body & the symptoms of their deficiency.

The introduction explains in detail how they work, how to maintain optimum health, the particular nutrients that various groups are most likely to need, healthy eating & the ins & outs of taking supplements.

The next section deals with individual Essential Nutrients under the headings of how it functions, what ailments it can remedy, the deficiency symptoms of that nutrient, vital food sources & the recommended daily alllowance. Vitamins & minerals from Vit A to Zinc are covered here.

There are also short sections on other supplements like Amino Acids, Co-Enzyme Q10, Acidophilus, Bioflavonoids, Boron & various herbs.
