Beautiful and intriguing - By: Mr. R. Fisher, 08 Aug 2006
This book(NOT written by Prince Charles, he only wrote the introduction) is an absolute gem. Packed with illustrations & stunning photographs, the book takes us on a journey through how animals have contributed to our heritage & folklore. Such as why certain place names are named after animals, how myths came to be attached to them & why various species are revered & some reviled.
This book will enable you to look at our diverse array of nature in an altogether different way. Different from most compendiums on the subject, I would heartily encourage anyone with an interest in animals and/or folklore to own this book & cherish it.
