Sorry Amazon but now Adobe AIR is out of Beta this book is no longer relevant.

The free downloadable documentation is more up to date & covers a lot more ground - plus (unusuallly) is quite readable.

AIR looks very good & could be very well suited to your application but if you need a book you are best waiting for one that addresses the full release
