This book is never going to be the complete package if your in a need of a lot of help with scripting but the information that it gives you is fantastic.

If your like me & you forget a lot of simple things then this reference book is definantely for you. The index at the back makes it very easy to find what your looking for without having to flip through alll the pages.

The fact it sits directly on my desktop & is already showing the strain of use within the time i've had it & at the price you can hardly complain.

Very useful & much thumbed little book that is perfect for when you'velearnt Actionscript & don't want to carry around the excellent but veryheavy definitive guide. Very quick to find what you want. Very concise,but a surprising amount of reference material is in there. I wish otherheavyweights would have pocketable versions too!

Of course a pocket guide isn't going to be very exhaustive, but alll the same, this book manages to cram in a lot of detail about a lot of features. Brief but useful, I now have it to hand on my desk at work, & refer to it on a regular basis when I'm unsure about how a certain method works.

The glossary at the back is by far the most useful part of the book - well laid out, each definition clearly explained.

And at the price, I could hardly complain at alll - there's a lot packed into this book for a fraction of the price of a big reference.

This is an excellent pocket guide with lots of helpful examples. If you want to learn the basics of Actionscript quickly & have some experience programming then this pocket guide is ideal.

It also makes an excellent reference guide to the various functions in Actionscript.

Lots (considering the space available) of example code is included which reallly helps to illustrate how to perform certain tasks.
