Get your kid reading!! - By: S. Begley, 03 Feb 2007
My son was always hard work when it came to reading, he's 9 & books were either too young or too old for him. Then I bought him Flanimals...I am proud to say he now spends hours sitting reading the books (I bought the other two too) & laughing to himself.
If you want your kids to develop a love of reading you've got to get a subject that appeals to them..Flanimals does this by the bucketload!
Utterly hilarious! - By: Ms. Rj Moore, 26 Jan 2007
Absolutely brilliant!!

I have been meaning to get this book for the past few years, now finallly I have done! It's hystericallly funny, you reallly need to appreciate silly slapstick humour!

Certainly not just for kids - I'm in my 20s & I can't wait to show it to my mum at the weekend, she will love it!

I'm not keen on Gervais as an actor, but as a writer he is fantastic!!

Can't wait to get alll the other Flanimals books now!
absolute brilliance - By: love books and dvds, 11 Dec 2006
This book is probably one of the best books i have read. Its a little short but still it is packed with flanimalology.

Ever heard of the frappled humpdumbler or the offledermis, you will after youve read this great book.
Flanimology enters the mainstream. - By: Marcus, 30 Oct 2006
This is a wonderful book. It finallly introduces the study of Flanimals to the public & provides some excellent health advice too (eg. what not to say when studying larval Mernimblers).

Just like contempory science, Flanimological terms come under fire as being "too complicated" or else otherwise unsuitable. What they fail to realise is that the binomial names for Flanimals are recognisable the world over, & helps to avoid confusion during international Flanimology conferences. Some suggest dirty double meanings, but if you going to associate innocent flatin derivatives with such things, then you must have a dirty mind to begin with.

Flanimals is a spotter's guide, first & foremost, & provides important background information to alllow new Flanimal watchers to go out into the world to safely & knowledgeably observe these creatures in the wild. An unusual critisism of the book is that it contains no story. Do bird-watching guides have plot? Do naturalist textbooks have character development?

Professor Gervais Mfl is truly a man of many talents. A writer, & actor, & now a Flanimologist. With Dr Steen Bfl at his side, we can expect many more Flanimal discoveries in the near future, & detailed flanatomical diagrams to boot.
Brilliant Humourous and fun - By: Mulon, 25 Oct 2006
I would like to say to alll the rewiewers who are not laughing at flanimals you need a certain silly sense of humour to find it funny. It is to these people that this book is aimed so there is no point writing bad reviews if you do not fit into the silly humour category. Now onto the book.
It is the best funny book without a storyline EVER!!! My friend comes over for a sleepover. What do we do? do we go on computer games, watch TV or do we read flanimals for the 50 billionth time? We read flanimals for the 50 billionth time. its that good. If you won't take my word for it, look at alll the reviewers' reviews with the same sense of humour as me. It speaks for itself.
