the best book Ive ever read about gardening to feed yourself - By: jon colwill, 05 Apr 2002
I first read a john seymour book in the 1970s.
his books like the fat of the land & the complete book of self sufficency. must have encouraged millions of people to try to grow more of theyre own food, & move to the country they did for my hippie family at least.
There are lots of books on gardening out there but this book is special john seymour is one of the best writers Ive ever read ,not only does he reallly know about when to plant things. but also what to plant, where, how, & how to preserve it.also he writes with the sort of style that makes you want to get off your chair & go out into the garden.
This is the best book on gardening to feed yourself that I have ever read it covers everything .There are books that go into more detail on specific subjects. but as a general book for a person who wants to feed his or her family well on veg & eggs, chicken, ect this book cant be beat.
