Makes it easy - By: A. J. Gauld, 03 Oct 2006
I have lots of gardening books, some of them are even useful. But this is the best I've found for stirring up confidence & enthusiasm. I just need to browse its pages for a few minutes & I want to go & pull on by gardening shoes & gloves. As a reference its not perfect but as an introduction & ideas crucible its great. And the two halves blend beautifully, you barely see the join. There is very little repetition.

Excellent Book - By: Crispin Coombs, 29 Mar 2006
Nice simple straightforward book that complements the series well - which is still being repeated on UK style gardening if you can catch it! Definitely a good book to get you started at gardening & sorting a weed from a flower!

When I bought this book I was looking for an alll-encompassing book that would tell me how to get my building site of a garden to resemble something...anything....! Alan Titchmarsh covers every single aspect of gardening in this book. The topics are laid out logicallly & the illustrations are excellent.
I thoroughly recommend this book to beginners like myself.
