DISAPPOINTED! - By: Ms. J. Mahmoud, 26 Aug 2007
I am a great fan of Nora Roberts more specificallly her Eve Dalllas books which are excellent, I have read most of her other books too & was disappointed with this book which had the right ingredients to make it great but wasn't & in my opinion it was due to far too much detail in the past, & I think that half this book was not needed instead of focusing so much into the past it could have started with a 'brief' prologue into it (instead of 20 years worth!) then lead in nicely into the main story being about a woman who is haunted by the event of her baby brother being killed in an attempted kidnap when she was a child & not remembering what happened
until it's nearly too late. If you have nothing better to do with your time then this would certainly keep you occupied.
Different - By: , 02 Sep 2005
Having read many of Nora roberts books before i had high expectations of this book. However when i started it i did find it hard to get into, although i persevered & found the book very good. It tackles some "delicate" issues with great effect, for example domestic abuse. I thoroughly enjoyed this book by the end, would definately recommend it,and although in my opinion it isnt one of her greatest books it has a great love story, & a thilling plot, (although slightly predictable).
A box of tissues must be handy when reading this book! - By: , 06 Sep 2001
I loved this book - I couldn't put it down, even though I was weeping buckets through most of it. Ms Roberts manages to convey some powerful emotions with this book - its well written & thoroughly enjoyable, though slightly predictable - if you have read Rivers' End, you'll know why, but don't let that put you off reading the book.
Another fantastic book from Nora Roberts - By: , 17 May 2001
I am collecing unread Nora Roberts books for my forthcoming holiday, however as soon as I buy one I read it. This book is fantastic & again is hard to put down, it doesn't matter how predictable it is & whether you can work out the ending - it is just enjoyable reading! Right, I am ready to buy some more!
Suspense and romance, as always she is the best. - By: , 01 Apr 2001
I have yet to read a Nora Roberts book that I haven't enjoyed, but Public Secrets ranks among my favourites. Less gory than her later books but equallly as full of suspense & believable characters. The sort of read that you simply can't put down.
