Sing to me again dear Nightingale! - By: Alli P, 27 Sep 2006
I am truly pleased that I found this book several years ago now & was devastated when I lost it in a move, so when my darling daughter asked me what I wanted for my birthday last year I told her this book & she replaced it for me. It was hardly out of the wrapping paper before my nose was well & truly stuck between the pages. This book makes my heart sing & my eyes cry - I love it. Its one of the best books I have ever read & that is saying something. It is a joy to read despite poor Cassie's terrible trials that pull at even the hardest heart strings, the descriptions that Charlotte uses brings everything to life & makes it part of your world - I could just do with a Tyrone walking through my door! Make sure that when you start this one that you have no appointments, children or other distractions as you will be unable to put it down & then you'll start The Nightingale Sings.... enjoy!
A must have! - By: G. Boyce, 08 Aug 2006
Along with 'To Hear a Nightingale' you must also read the second book 'The Nightingale Sings'. I actuallly read the books in the wrong order having read 'The Nightingale Sings' first! (I didn't realise at the time that there was a 'first instalment')

I first read the books a few years ago & have to say that I have read both of them a few times since!

The key thing probably for me is the mixture of a good old fashoined romantic love story & the love of horses, having ridden horses for 20 odd years.

Cassie's story is one of hearbreak in many respects but also one of love & trust not to mention her great passion & determination for success.

You will find yourself crying on some pages & laughing on others......always the tell tale sign of a very good book!

Brilliant! - By: , 18 Dec 2004
When i first read this book i was only 11 & i read it one year on holiday because i remember my mother had bought a few books to read & i wanted to be like her. I started reading mainly so i could show my mum i could get into a book...after then i couldnt stop!!
Different parts made me involved in the book & now 6 years later ive never found a book as good.. ive read it over 6 times it is becoming a fast tradition to read it every summer..i would recommed you buy it..especiallly if you are a horse lover.. if you are not you will enjoy it jus as much!!
To Hear a Nightingale, My favourite book . - By: Emma Turner, 06 May 2003
I found this book utterly spellbinding & I was unable to put it down. I have now read the book 4 times & I enjoy it more each time. Charlotte Bingham has a way of describing settings that I find amazing & she reallly makes you feel like you are sat at the top of the stairs watching the story unfold infront of your eyes. I cant wait to read the follow up.

I'm Suzi Ifould & I'm 18 years old. I have read some books in my time, but none have even come close to this one. The storyline is supurb alll the way though, & I just couldn't help fallling in love with alll of the characters in the book. It brought out alll possible emotions, & the ending gave my goose pumps alll over my body. Cassie goe's through so much, & alll the way though you just want her to find happiness, & even though there are so many terrible things happening to her, she gets trough them because of her faith. A truely amazing book which brought love & warmth to my heart.
