Later on in this magnificent story Mom finds a new love, & the whole family change there names to: Kendalll, Lola Rose & Victoria Luck. It alll becomes terrifing when Victoria is diagnoised with cancer & in a trance she telephones her husband & tells him exactly where she is. He finds them, but when he goes to beat them Lola Rose's Auntie pitches in & kicks him up the bottom. Will anything turn out Ok for the family? Read Lola Rose to find out.
Fantabulous!!!!! - By: LH, 13 May 2008
This is a fantastic book by the award winning author Jacqueline Wilson.
Lola Rose is about a girl callled Jayni & her mum wins a scratch card. Not just ten pound but ten thousand pounds. Jayni's father abuses her mother & then starts to abuse Jayni. Then in the dead of night Jayni, her mother & her little brother Kenny run of in the dead of night. This book is sometimes scary but there are happy bits.
Highlights
I liked the entire book. Especiallly when a family member helps the family to get rid of the dad.
Any weak bits
I have to say that the weak bits are when they always have to go to an aquarium for the little brother.
Age Range
This book is for late primary & young teenagers.
You could finish this book in a week if you put your mind to it
Unputdownable?

You dont have to be a teenager to read this! - By: Missk Sinclair, 29 Mar 2007
I bought a Jacqueline Wilson book by chance a few weeks ago, & enjoyed it so much, I decided to invest in some more. I chose carefully, & chose those books I thought might appeal to teenagers & older readers.
Lola Rose didn't disappoint, although I felt real empathy with the main characters in the book, particularly Lola Rose, an [...] trying to hold her family together after they flee their voilent father. It was very intersting to see how mature Lola was, & how social issues DO & CAN affect children, even if parents think children don't see it. I won't tell you what happens at the end, but let's just say the book contains enough to make you want to keep reading it - domestic violence, eating issues, illness...don't get me wrong, this is not a depressing read, just a very interesting one. Well done JW for another fantastic book

My book review is on lola rose written by a very talllented author Jaqculine Wilson, this fantastic book which WILL grab your attention & excite you in every possible way!!!!!!
This book is about a young girl callled Jayni whos mum luckily wins £10,000 on a scrach card ,Jayni's dad unfortunatley beats up her mum ,Niki her mum has never bothered to do anything about it until she looses the last straw because he hits Jayni .
Niki , jayni & Kenny her younger brother move away to London to escape from jay her dad. After being in London for a short time Niki brought a smalll flat & a man callled Jake moved in everything was good untill a smalll lump formed in Nikki's breast she had to go to the hospital so Jayni's auntie Barbra lookeed after them until Nikki got better ,Nikki soon got better after her terrible ordeal.
Allthough the story was very sad despite the sadness it was very good & i would recomend this book for girls of the age of 9-15 .
