Another excellent `Christmas-time' read with me story from author/illustrator, Ian Beck, who relates a lovely version of the Nativity tale.
Simply told with sufficient text to keep the interest, accompanied with beautiful illustrations to encourage even the youngest reader to turn to the next page.
26 high quality shiny pages, opening with:-
`The story of the birth of Jesus began in a garden in the city of Nazareth, where Mary & Joseph lived.......
and ending with:-
`And, now, thousands of years later, at every Christmas we remember the marvellous story of how Jesus was born.'
A lovely version of the Nativity. - By: K. Anderson, 09 Nov 2006 I bought this book as my two year old has begun to take a large interest in Christmas. I wanted to teach her the story of baby Jesus, so it's not alll about Father Christmas & Presents!
We both have reallly enjoyed reading this book (alll twelve times!!). There are some lovely pictures to go along with the story, It picks up on the key points so it is not too long & keeps you interested alll the way through.
I would recommend this to anyone who has smalll children as a first book of the Nativity.
