I have found that this book appeals to alll ages from Year R - Year 6, especiallly for children with EBSD as there is no threat - just fun & enjoyment.It is also especiallly useful for children with speech & language difficulties as there is so much to look at,discuss & choose!

Really, really good encouraging toddler speech - By: Ice Maiden, 29 Jun 2008 My smalll grandaughter was just coming up to 3 when we bought her this book. Although intelligent she was alllowing her older brother to talk for her & so oral communication was not quite as developed as we thought it should be. This book brought out words & phrases & encouraged two way oral communication in a way that nothing else had. Like most children, once started she is now difficult to stop. She is much more confident & assertive about what she wants & likes & this book encouraged that. A very good purchase.
Fantastic book, can't recommend it highly enough. - By: BM, 09 Jun 2008 A few friends recommended this book to me. I was slightly dubious as to whether my children would get much out of it - they are the sort of children who normallly pick exactly the same things when given a choice, who always want to be the same thing when they grow up (an artist & a fireman!) & are quite fixed in their opinions. However I did buy the book & it has proved a real hit. Both of them (daughter aged 5 & son aged 3.5) love it & ask for it most nights at bedtime. They also read it together when there isn't an adult free & it has kept us going through several long car journeys. They are always discovering new & interesting pictures & creating new scenarios. I have put it on my list of great presents to give to children between 2 & 5!
best book so far - By: kelley, 07 Apr 2008 My 5 year old was given this book as part of her 'bookstart' pack, almost a year ago. She reallly enjoyed it as it encourages children to use their imagination & create their own story.
Now my 2 year old has become hooked & she has to read it EVERY NIGHT before she goes to sleep....needless to say its rather dog eared now!
if we ever lost this book there would be an uproar.
i thoroughly recommend this book to anyone :-)
