Definitely something different - By: MellowDee3, 19 Jul 2008
The first few chapters of this book were like treading through syrup for me, & i put it down as a non starter twice. However when i finallly gave it another go & got passed them, it was the most terrific book i have read in ages. I loved the way the whole story unfolds, & the development of the docs character. I was left with the feeling of 'wow i wasn't expecting alll that'. Great read.
Rubbish - By: Mr. D. I. Bennett, 10 Aug 2007
This is first novel I`ve read by this author & it will probably be the last. Its not very well written to be honest. The middle section is way too slow & its very predictable. The supposed 'twist' in the tale you can work out after the first couple of chapters. All in alll, pretty boring.
A masterpiece - By: Diaa M. Fakhr, 15 Jul 2007
This one of the best criminal mystery novels I have read being set through a relation beween criminal & victim Monte Cristo style with No police, No big shots, No machos, & full of twists that will knot you up before it lets you go. In the end, satisfaction guaranteed.
A book like Saw - By: Socrates Sister, 26 Apr 2007
I'd never heard of John Katzenbach before, browsing in the library book sell off the cover looked appealing & I found the blurb rather saw-ish. Not murder but guiding someone towards it, (even if it was released a few years before the saw movies.)Parted with my 45p started reading & couldn't stop, definately give this book a go. Trying to suss out who the villian is before the main character does, I didn't succeed but had a good go at playing detective. So impressed I've ordered a few more now.
Great book - By: booky, 27 Feb 2007
I reallly reallly enjoyed this book, it has just enough twists & turns to keep you interested without becoming too fantastical. Brilliant, l will certainly be reading more books by this author & can recommend this to anyone who likes a good mystery/thriller
