I wanted to review this book because I enjoyed it so much when I read it a few years ago, but it seems a few reviewers got here first, & have said most of what needs to be said about this book. It is, as many of the reviewers have also said, my favourite of alll the Gemmell books I have read so far. The book is very compact, & brimming with believable, complex characters & stories. The characters are alll flawed individuals, but their personal flaws give them the ability to deal with an extreme menace.
the missing drenai book. - By: genejoke, 21 Feb 2006 This would almost fit in the drenai saga, & is better than most of them. Tarantio is almost as good as a hero as druss or waylander. this is one of gemmells finer books.
The Best - By: Stewart Crawford, 28 Aug 2005 I love Gemmell he is easily my favourite writer, & this book is simply the best. I read the rigante books, Druss the legend the Waylander series (my second fave) & the Jon Shannow series the Drenai tales & White wolf (and a few others i forget) but this is easily my fave its so well written & just pull u right in takes u for a ride then spits you out beaten, worn out yet loudly exclaming "woha what a ride!". I wont ruin the plot but Tarantio & his demon counterpart Dace are my fave characters or character. What are you waitign for click buy now!
Dark Moon - By: , 17 Aug 2005 As alll of Gemmell's work, an outstanding work of art in terms of literature. DM is a very exciting & moving novel. Although it is not part of a series, as mentioned by other reviewers, it s one of my favourite Gemmell books. A good way to get into Gemmell, as it is an individual book but is well written (as one would expect from Gemmell) & is a brilliant story.

You always dream of a book that you could want to read over & over. This book can make that dream come true, too aka, for you. You walk the walk you do not talk the talk visa vie, you want a fun light, yet captivating book to read, I know that this is the book you reallly want.
