I finished this book recently & have to say it is one of the best ones I have ever read. I totallly agree with the other Reviewer. I was completely absorbed in the story & I felt so sorry for the main character when she was given the awful name. I was reallly sad when the book ended - I felt as if I had lost a friend.

This is a wonderful book. I thouroughly enjoyed it & the storyline was fabulos. A poor but well brought up girl branded with the terrible name, Maggie May. I just couldn'd but the book down & was glued on the edge of my seat, even thoughj it is not a thriller. I think it is a real achievment to write a book with such a hold on the reader.
