Great, but confused me a little. - By: Mrs. C. J. Gloster, 05 May 2008
the first 3 books were great. they reallly kept you hooked & i was very disappointed when i came to the end of each one. seductions gift was very confusing & a bit over the top. however i felt that alll of theses books have just had little bits taken out of the authors full version & thrown together in this one. i think each book has more explaining to do even though they were alll a great read.

what i reallly want to know is if these books are the full version or not?

i have looked into Christine Feehan' books & i am now planning to start the carpathian series. i would deffiantely recommend her.
None of the novellas were long enough...... - By: Mrs. Rita Roberts, 28 Jun 2007
.......to provide much of a storyline. I got the book mainly for Dark Hunger, which itself was the shortest story, & a real disappointment as there was no character developement. Riordan, a Carpathian male, sees the heroine as he rescues her, & immediately bites her, realising she is his mate. No discussion, no attraction, no time for them to get to know each other, or even say a word to each other, & no time for her to object. A waste of a book in what is otherwise a great series by Christine Feehan. Did not bother with the Maggie Shayne story, as the Emma Holly one was lame - 1st meeting, sex on a table, bitten by a vampire/Upyr, then happy-ever-after. Angela Knight's one could have been good if it had been a longer, standalone novel. Don't waste money buiying this, as you local library probably has it in stock.
3 out of 4 is fantastic!!!! - By: Dina M. Martin, 13 Oct 2006
I bought this book because one of my favorite authors was in it Christine Feehan I was pleasantly surprised to read the other stories & I am happy to say that I have 2 more authors that I will start buying their books. Angela Knight (Seduction's Gift) & Maggie Shayne (Awaiting Moonrise) were excellent. Emma Holly was my least favourite but in saying that I did enjoy reading it - I just thought she didn't have that extra WOW factor that the other 3 had. Christine Feehan's Dark Hunger was as always HOT AND STEAMY - LOVED IT.
Wicked, Wild, Wonderful - By: Diane E. Griffith, 08 Nov 2005
The terms I would use to discribe this book. Clearly alll the authors show great talent but Christine Feehans rises above the rest. Her ongoing Carpathian saga is compelling, each book or story give you a deeper glimpse into the dark magical world of the Carpathians. I bought this book for Ms Feehans story & while I enjoyed the others I felt that the last story dealing with King Arthur being a vampire, while hot was a little too over the top for me. I might try something else by this author but overalll I would not recommend this book on her story alone. The others are worth reading & to try stories by different authors is a wonderful way to expand your horizons.
2 out of 4 ain't bad - By: Mojca Zizmond, 06 Sep 2004
Christine Feehan's 'Dark Hunger' is the usual Dark Series book. Hot & sexy - & a great introduction to the stories of the five De La Cruz brothers.
Maggie Shayne disappointed me - her story didn't have the right vibe.
Emma Holly's storytelling & plot improved from the novella in Fantasy. At least it made me laugh.
'Seduction's Gift' by Angela Knight made me lift my eyebrows & say "Huh?!" at first - but then - WOW! And let me repeat that: WOW! Reallly hot blooded, indeed! Can't wait to read more from her!
