I was not at alll impressed by this book, It showed lots of illustations, but not the best works by Lucian. I was not much more impressed by the writing on the artist either showing lack of knowledge & not much intrest in this great artist.

With lots of reproductions & details, (105 of the 112 illustrations in colour) you can't reallly go wrong with Robert Hughes' clear, consise & yet beautiful book. A reallly good book to both study & admire, it is accesable & good value for money too!
