That is the first reallly book of the Dismas Hardy series. If you haven't already read Lescroart start with this. If you have already read any other Hardy novels but not Dead Irish don't forget to buy this first chance. It's how everything started. How Hardy met Frannie & became again an attorney. Which was Frannie's first husband. Why Frannie's mother-in-law is not only her grandson's baby sitter but a woman also. Besides these it is a great crime story with a spice from ancient tragedy.And Hardy is acting many times like a ''noir''hero. A man with no hope, no future & the phantoms of his past hunting him.
