Inspiring and practical - By: Pieter, 13 Aug 2004
In this little volume Napoleon Hill clearly explains the laws of success in simple language, free from new age terminology or psychobabble. He offers sound & practical advice for improving alll areas of your life & to become an achiever. Aspects of the programme delve deep into the metaphysical and/or psychological, for example the author's ideas about helper guides, how to contact them, & how to programme the subconscious mind for success. I found his advice on how to turn alll negative situations into positive ones particularly valuable. Hill states that the supreme miracle is the power to take possession of one's own mind & to direct it successfully to whatever ends one may choose & he tells you how in this smalll but inspiring & uplifting work. You Can Work Your Own Miracles is on a par with the works of other popular metaphysicians of the 20th century, like the great Joseph Murphy & Catherine Ponder.

You really can work your own miracles!!!!! - By: T. S. Hughes, 02 Aug 2003
‘You can work your own miracles’ is the book that anyone & everyone should be handed if they feel like they are going nowhere in life. The author of the book grew up in abject rural poverty in West Virginia, which is still now America’s poorest state. Reading this book makes you feel that, regardless of what your past history of success or failure has been, you can do & aspire to anything that you want out of life.

He isn’t preaching to the converted, he is speaking to everyone that wants in some way a better life & everyone who wants to convert a desire, a need, a want, or whatever it is that makes a person want a better life in some way, so that they go for that dream & hold onto it & in alll ways work towards it!

He has analysed in depth alll the things that can make a person a failure & analysed in depth alll the attributes that can make any person successful. It is about taking any person, from any background at alll, teaching them to shape, hold onto & work at & towards whatever they want from life & teaching them to see that success is for alll who want & are prepared to work at being successful.

He is also teaching people, & this is a particular problem in Britain, to have & cultivate life goals, so that we can alll have a definiteness of purpose & alll work towards goals in our life. British people in general were never taught to have or acquire goals & many British people go through their whole life never reallly wanting or achieving anything, & never reallly thinking about personal goals or personal aims at alll. His philosophy of success breaks through the class barriers, race barriers, & any & alll barriers that might at any time & in any place impede a particular individual’s success in life. He teaches, in this book, that anyone at alll & whoever they are & wherever they come from, can achieve altogether wonderful things if they want a thing enough & are prepared in alll ways to work at it. For the price of a fiver or so, a person can have a whole new philosophy which can enrich their whole life & perhaps even give them a new impetus & better role in life!

If I was cast adrift on a desert island, I would take the Bible & I would take ‘You can work your own miracles’ for enabling me to overcome alll the problems I might encounter.

Tim Hughes, Liverpool

p.s. I have set myself three life goals as a result of reading this book, & I slowly but surely work towards them each day.

Motivation. More to the point, self motivation, this is not a spiritual or religious thing as the title suggests, but a way to get what you want in life by being focused on your goals & knowing how to condition the mind to achiveve them. If you have read Think & grow rich, this will cement the ideas there firmly in your subconcious. If you haven't read Think & grow rich this is an excellent book on it's own. Don't be a sceptic this reallly does work. You will find yourself somewhere in this book.
