One of the best books I've read this year - By: , 06 Jun 1999
I didn't want Thief of Hearts to end. In fact, I think I'll just start reading it again.
Great, but Katherine Stone has written greater. - By: , 24 Mar 1999
Thief Of Hearts is classic Katherine Stone & while it is not as fascinating as her other novels, it is a great read. Perfect for someone looking for a quick & easy dose of her writing. I would suggest a beginner start with BEL AIR. This book will definitely get you hooked on K.S.
Thief of Hearts follows same K. Stone formula - By: , 19 Mar 1999
Thief of Hearts is nearly the same as Katherine Stone's other books. Two main couples who deny their feelings for each other until the end & alll live happily ever after.

I must admit that I like her books for the most part but feel that I am reading the same story over & over. Her characters are always beautiful, accomplished & dedicated...and so tortured by painful past that they are emotionallly unable to function. They dwell on the past on almost every page & when not in the past they are imagining some hurt being put upon them by the object of their affection. I am beginning to find the stories almost painful to read & want to shake these characters & tell them to "get over it, already".

Having said alll that, I admit to being hooked & at least for the time being will continue to read her works. I just wish she would come up with some characters who weren't so fragile...men & women alike.

This book was very enjoyable. - By: , 09 Mar 1999

Great storytelling - By: , 08 Dec 1998
Fraternal twins Patrick & Jesse are as different as night & day. His wealthy family reaalizes that the dark sibling Jesse is not fitting into their social class. His parents doted on the golden brother Patrick. When someone accuses Jesse of a heinous crime, his parents supported his incarceration. Only Patrick, loyal to his brother, had doubts, but the duo fails to communicate, which leads to a separation.

Nearing forty, Patrick is well renowned as a trauma & heart surgeon, but his luck has run out as he is diagnosed with aplastic anemia. He desperately needs a bone marrow transplant by a person who is a close match. The ideal donor is Jesse, but Patrick refuses to ask. Dr. Caitlin Taylor, a close friend, is the only person who knows that Patrick has a twin. She decides to find him. When she does, he is nothing as she expected as he is dark & sexy. Jesse agrees to help Patrick even as he realizes that there is a deep attraction between him & the beautiful doctor. Together they embark on a journey of healing guided by love.

Katherine Stone's storytelling abilities keep growing stronger with each new book she writes. The complexity of her tales is well known, especiallly the use of secondary players & subplots moving THIEF OF HEARTS to its exciting conclusion. Ms. Stone demonstrates her ability to make a character seem so real in settings that a book by this author is a very pleasurable reading.
