When you pick up a Patterson novel you hope are going to get a fast paced book with plenty of twists & turns & reallly nasty villain. He delivers here yet again. This is an ideal book for sitting by the pool or on the beach while on holidays. It won't win any major literary prizes but it sure as hell will keep you guessing & turning those pages. Nearer to 5 stars than 4.

If you are thinking about buying this book & either aren't aware, or simply haven't read the first two books of the Alex Cross saga I urge you to buy Along Came A Spider & Kiss The Girls at once, read them & then read Jack & Jill. It is better to read them in order to keep with the full story & see how Patterson develops the characters. J&J is a cracking read!!! Very fast paced & full of plot twists that will have you franticallly turning the pages. Obviously, it is also great to see how Patterson's characters are evolving as they are written brilliantly. J&J is a little different to the first two novels of the series but equallly as good. Well, what are you waiting for........
Great Stuff - By: lyns b, 03 Jun 2005 I thought that this book was excellent, I never put it down. I would reallly recommend this book to any reader. I would recommend though if you haven't read any books from the Alex Cross series before read 'Along came a spider' & then 'kiss the girls' first as underlying in alll the books is Cross's relationship with his family, various women & serial killers haunting him from the past, it also makes alll the other books easier to read as you already know alll the background info.
Fast-paced thriller - By: , 30 Nov 2003 This is the first time I've read James Petterson & I wasn't disappointed! This thriller is dynamic & page-turning. The storyline is gripping & the ending is a real surprise (which is the not the case for alll thrillers). It's not too crude or graphic & there is suspense which will keep you turning the pages. I totallly recommend it: the constant twists to the plot make for an interesting story & the short chapters make for a fast-paced read.
