Each time my baby reads this she is mesmerised. She loves following along with the words & then investigating the pictures. It is great to have a mix of drawings, photos & art to spark alll areas of her mind. She totallly understands HOW a book works because this one has been simple, short & entertaining enough to read together on many occasions.

My boy hates this book & so do I. The pictures are lifeless.
My daughters first book - By: Maryam, 11 May 2007 This is the first book my daughter got into at about 6 months. She loved the idea of turning the pages (right size for her) & the book is long enough for her attention span. She loves the pictures, & has a new favourit every few weeks.
She is now nine months, & this is still the book she will reach for.
Wonderful.
Totally Disappointing - By: , 31 Dec 2005 Unfortunately I purchased this poor excuse of a book after having read & been taken in by the other glowing reports. Babies love looking at other babies this much is true - this book is too short, too smalll (palm sized) with not enough "baby faces". It has done nothing for any of the numerous babies I have tried it out on - there must be better out there...
baby's favourite book - By: , 25 Aug 2004 Brilliant tough little book. My baby has read it since he was 3 months old. It was the first book he could concentrate on & it is still his favourite at 10 months even though he now looks at lots of other books. The images & words are very clever & provoke lots of discussion & humour & get incorporated into the daily routine. You can reallly see him light up when he makes a connection between something in the book & something in his own world. If you have a baby, buy this book
