I'm puzzled by the previous reviewer's concerns. The God of classical theism IS personal & makes himself known as three persons in ONE, so what's the problem? More specificallly, her concerns regarding the religion & media unit are quite unfounded. My students have submitted coursework for this unit on ethical issues raised in Gattaca & Priest & have been resoundingly successful. This is an excellent text book, but even better are the new Philip Allan Updates text books by the same authors - glossy & colourful, but full of substantial text, infinitely better than the Vic Watton offerings. Religion & Life AND Religion & SOciety avaiable as two superb text books ideal as class sets & as teacher guides.
