excellent for essays - By: D. Parry, 08 Jan 2007
I was lucky enough to find this second hand for a fiver! but its worth every penny [...] if you're serious about the topic. For a university course [...]is excessive, but it's a fantastic book to help with writing essays & looking good in exams.
Useless - I'm sorry but this was going too far - By: , 13 Mar 2004
Jurisprudence is hard enough without a textbook which is totallly & utterly incomprehensible. The authors can't be blamed, although even their introductory chapters weren't hugely helpful - SImmonds gives a better resume of the facts - & they are only reprinting the central theses.

However, I bought this book & although I did open it, i had to give up after only a paragraph each time because it was not understandable. There's enough reading to do in law, without using this book.

Sorry.

A great jurisprudence work - By: Andrew london, 10 Jan 2002
This is excellent. After reading Plato & aristotle & stuff like that, it is time to soak up the meaning & how the ideas fit in with writers such as Kant, Puffendorf & Hobbes. Now you can combine the ideas together.
