I had to force myself to finish reading this. Not the greatest Sandford book I've read. Parts of the plot stretched credibility to extremes I thought. Characters with little interest, an effort at times to keep track of what was going on.

Okay: a serial killer on the loose, rural community with a dark secret, it alll goes back to the past: we've alll read that a hundred times before. Well told but not original. Virgil Flowers is midly intersting but no Lucas Davenport. All in alll just average.
