Pure inspiration - By: Patrick Pope, 05 Sep 2006
Once again, the almost unanimously positive reader response is spot on. What a brilliantly put together book ... & its scope is superb too - this could be helpful in putting up the most simple 6'x 6' platform right through to a village in the sky that would last three generations. And yet it never forgets that true tree house happiness is not always to be found in some over-designed & absurdly ornate superstructure ... but more likely in a simple crow's nest at the end of a suitable branch.

Although I ordered this during a fine English spring, & it has taken four months to arrive from the U.S. & the nights are now drawing in, I am very glad I waited: a tree house is for life, & early next year our family will build a fantastic one - alll because of this fine book.

Tree houses I HAVE actually built - By: , 12 May 2005
If you are looking for a reallly practical, fluently written, well explained, step-by-step instructional book to help, assist & guide you through the process of conceiving, creating & building a tree house, don't look any further.
This book was alll I expected it to be, my compliments to the author.
Addictive tree house starter - By: Zoran, 26 May 2003
Just have a look at it & you are addicted to tree houses. Good source of information even for a serious DIY person. Simple & clear construction examples that can be applied to most situations. Nice pictures.
Enter the "Treehouse Zone"! - By: , 10 Aug 1999
Buy this book & build a reallly great treehouse. I built a super-cool "one tree" treehouse last summer using this book & not only did I find it extraordinarily instructive on the actual "how to," I also found myself drawn into what I came to calll the "treehouse zone" that David & Jeanie Stiles create. This book has several great plans that you can easily adapt to your own tree, plus tons of wonderful "extras" that put it over the top. This summer I put on a second storey, though I didn't have the book available; I was able to go on what I had built before under it's guidance. Please, come join me in the Treehouse Zone.
We should have built our treehouse, last year! - By: , 30 Jul 1999
My husband, three sons & I had so much fun! The illustrations were great, we knew what we were doing every step of the way. I highly reccommend building a treehouse for anyone who has children, especiallly little boys. I know where my kids are now alll the time, they're in the treehouse.
