The original Pants is one of my kids favourite books & never fails to get a laugh. This is more of the same, & no worse for it. The illustrations by the superb Nick Sharratt, are fantastic & the cheeky rhymes by Giles Andreae are funny, memorable & just rude enough to make smalll children very happy indeed. We love it. May there be many more pants to come.
Another excuse to giggle!!! - By: J. Millar, 27 May 2007 Thank goodness for Pants! Or for that matter More Pants! I read the original to my daughter who loved it & now both she & her two year old brother are giggling unashamedly at the sequel. (especiallly the farty pants bit!) These reallly are funny wee books - easy to read & brightly illustrated with humour kids & adults alike will appreciate.
Good clean fun that your children will love - By: ELH Browning, 27 Apr 2007 You'd think one book about pants would be enough reallly, & the original Pants book by this pair was so fantastic, how could you match it? All three of my children have absolutely loved the original from about 18 months & over the last 5 years our copy has been worn down through excessive usage. We were excited therefore to see there was a sequel & couldn't wait to get our hands on it as soon as possible. And we weren't disappointed.
As with the prequel, there are only perhaps eight words to a double page accompanying clear bold & humorous illustrations so it's a quick bright & unashamedly silly read. Obviously the book is alll about pants of varying types with a good mix of things to appeal to both boys & girls. There's a gingerbread man, feathery & itchy pants, karate rhyming nicely with arty & party, a Viking, a dinosaur & little Bo Peep. Best of alll, my children just gasped with unallloyed delight at the yellow submarine pants, & now, encouraged by the end of the story, we're thinking up our own ideas. Fantastic!
