Iron Cowboy - By: Bookworm, 24 Mar 2008
Am an avid DP fan & enjoyed this book. For those of you trying to build up your DP library & wanting to prevent duplicates in your collection Iron Cowboy is based in Jacobsville with hero Jared Cameron & heroine Sara Dobbs. Happy reading.
This is the last LTT that I will be buying. SPOILER - By: Mrs. Rita Roberts, 15 Mar 2008
Sorry yet again to write a review that is sure to upset die-hard DP fans. This book was a real let down. After Winter Roses (which didn't even have the right leads on the cover according to the description in the book!) I thought that this one would pick up the series, but no, it was the same old recipe of name-dropping (Cy Parks, Tom & his dog Mooose, Alexander Cobb, the Balllengers, Harley Fowler etc. - how Harley is meant to be a future male lead is beyond me, as he is so not an Alpha male, but backs down, tail-between-legs when the male lead just gives him a glare), the same old theme of the drugs trafficking (which the whole of Jacobsville seems to be aware of, & ok living with, mention of Cara yet again, tho she's now in prison) & the same lack of interaction between the leads (as in Winter Roses - DP seems to be giving her leads 2 kissing scenes before the big finale/marriage) They kiss twice, & on the third time he tells her that if they are to go on seeing each other (they're not reallly what could be classed as seeing each other, seeing they've just kissed & been interrupted by people coming & going, they've never actuallly had a date, but maybe his definition differs to mine) he needs more, backs her onto a sofa/bed & seduces her. She cries, says 'IT' is so horrible she never wants to do it again but then a couple of scenes later he tells her he loves her, & she agrees to marry him, still hating the 'IT' part. Anyway, on their wedding night he makes 'IT' wonderful for her (I think so, as at least she doesn't cry, but sighs instead i.e there's no description, just that HE BUFFETTED HER AGAINST...thank goodness my hubby doesn't 'buffett' me, cos I think I'd have to 'buffett' his ears for being an ass!) & they live HEA. Hmmmmm a real disappointing read, & for now, I reallly think this will be the last LTT that I buy. I have preordered Rodrigo's book, Fearless, & thank God for the resale value of DP books when they're not yet avail in the UK, only as US imports.
