I made the mistake of loaning my copy of "Atlas of the Land" to a friend when he discovered the works of Stephen Donaldson ... now, with the book "on limited availability" on amazon.co.uk & "out of print" on amazon.com, your only choice is to try to buy a copy used from one of amazon.com's third-party sources.

For Donaldson fans, this is an essential guide to alll six books in the two series of the "Chronicles of Thomas Covenant". Every place name, every building, town in any of the books is identified & its history & significance provided. In certain cases, illustrations are provided to make the relationships of certain elements clear.

I didn't discover the Atlas until I had read the full series, but when I went back to re-read it, the experience was a thousand-fold better & the relationships far clearer. For a Donaldson fan, it's the best gift you can find.
