I read the predecessor (borrowed) to this book on a car journey & found it unputdownable & this one is just the same. Easy to read, super ideas, thought-provoking, with the sort of logic that you simply know is going to improve your teaching if you use it.

I've read a lot of teaching & teachers' books but nothing as useful & enjoyable as this!!! So glad I bought it - worth every penny, especiallly for those working in ISP schools or who want those 'outstanding' grades when inspected!

I have now been to two lectures given by Shirley Clarke & they are superb, especiallly if you are a teacher & interested in assessment for learning. It alll makes so much sense & her book is so readable & informative. Great material for inset & whole school policy & practice.
