As the title suggests, this does link theory to practice & when studying for a degree thats what I need. Most, if not alll, child theorists are mentioned in this book, (and have an Index of their own) so great to get differing views when looking for quotes. This book makes complicated subjects like development & psychology understandable by not bombarding you with 'heavy reading.' Great examples of practice, great links to theorists & great explainations. I refer to this book time & again when writing my assignments as I find what I'm looking for (or at least a start) easily.
Studying? Buy it for your bookshelf as you'll use it often, it is not a 'dust gatherer.' And that's what us students want as we can't afford to waste money.
