Illustrations are generallly basic & functional, although they mostly do the job. However, I wonder how the extremely unconvincing (and rough) likeness of a 'typical' manga character (p137) slipped past the editors.
Ropey manga aside, the book does a good job in covering a wide range of areas in its 238 pages; 'Taking it Further' at the end of each chapter includes a varied selection of web links & other pointers, so there is a good basis for further study if desired.
