I am reviewing this as a recent student & current teacher of media studies. The text is very focused towards the main sections of different syllabi, as indicated by the chapter titles. The layout & general appearance of this book is particularly impressive. The graphics are well-chosen & pertinent. The text is broken up into clear sub-sections. It is not off-puttingly dense. Each section maintains a good balance between history, theory & example/ case study. It does not attempt to answer alll the questions, but neither does it leave the student with a mass of bewildering questions. All in alll, a very solid A level book.
