I was immediately impressed by this book as it is very teacher-friendly. The stories provide the opportunity to discuss important issues, & those which contain strong language (derogatory or racist words, for example) are immediately highlighted for ease of use. As a result, this book does not isolate itself to use in one particular year within the Key Stage. Each story is accompanied by teaching ideas which relate to the National Literacy Strategy objectives, & divided into Word, Sentence & Text Level. There is also a teachers resource pack. A useful & relevant resource which creates numerous opportunities for the teaching of Diverse Cultures in English.
